Tahoe City Lodge
The Tahoe City Lodge project involved the redevelopment of an existing commercial complex into a 118-unit lodge featuring hotel rooms and one- and two-bedroom suites, on-site amenities, structured parking, renovation of the existing clubhouse building, and shared-use parking at the Tahoe City Golf Course. The Lodge was approved under a joint EIR/EIS prepared in conjunction with the Placer County Tahoe Basin Area Plan, a comprehensive update to land-use regulations governing development in the Tahoe Basin.
RMM represented the ownership group in securing entitlements and approvals from Placer County and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, navigating layered federal and state environmental review requirements in one of California’s most highly regulated regions. RMM also defended the project in litigation challenging the adequacy of the EIR/EIS, securing a favorable resolution.
