Stonestown Redevelopment Project – City and County of San Francisco

The Stonestown Redevelopment Project is a mixed-use, multi-phased master-planned development on the west side of San Francisco, immediately north of San Francisco State University.  The 40-acre project site consists of parking lots and streets surrounding the existing Stonestown Galleria. While retaining the mall, the project would convert the surface parking lots into a predominantly residential neighborhood with up to 3,500 housing units, along with parks, retail, community amenity space, and office.

RMM represented the developer, Brookfield Properties, during the environmental review and entitlement processes.  The project received widespread support and was praised as a model for infill housing development.

Project Highlights
  • RMM assisted Brookfield Properties in securing project approvals and EIR certification.
  • The project is a mixed-use infill development surrounding the existing  Stonestown Galleria.
