C Line (now K Line) Extension – Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority
Metro is extending light rail service from the Redondo Beach Station to the Torrance Transit Center, adding 4.5 miles of new track and projected to serve 11,500 daily riders by 2042. RMM is guiding Metro through the environmental review process for the project, which involves numerous technical issues, including noise and vibration impacts from trains, geotechnical concerns, and traffic safety issues. Metro’s Board approved the project in 2026. RMM continues to advise Metro through the next steps leading to construction.
