Los Angeles Aerial Rapid Transit (SB 44) – Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority
Aerial Rapid Transit Technology LLC proposes to develop an aerial rapid transit gondola system connecting Metro’s Union Station and Dodger Stadium – the Los Angeles Aerial Rapid Transit project. When completed, the proposed project would have a maximum capacity of approximately 5,000 people per hour in each direction, and the travel time between Union Station and Dodger Stadium would be approximately 7 minutes. The project would provide safe, zero-emission, environmentally friendly, and high-capacity transit connectivity in the project area, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by reducing vehicular congestion in and around Dodger Stadium and on neighborhood streets, arterial roadways, and freeways. The project would operate daily to serve existing residents, workers, park users, and visitors to Los Angeles. The project is an Environmental Leadership Transit project and qualifies for expedited judicial review pursuant to SB 44. RMM represents Metro in its role as the lead agency for CEQA and assisted Metro in developing and managing a system to gather and post documents to a website daily to qualify for judicial streamlining.
